Wallenberg if Falkengrens departure: Will be no “golden handshake” – the world of Business

On Monday morning announced the SEB’s ceo Annika Falkengren that she’s leaving the bank for a new mission. “It was a very difficult decision,” she says.

Annika Falkengren was the substitute during the summer means SEB is already in 1981 and started as a trainee in 1987. Since 2001 she has been the ceo for the same.

On Monday, nearly 30 years after her first employment at SEB, she has chosen to leave the bank.

” It was a very difficult decision. I have spent all my life here, ” says Annika Falkengren.

Next stop for SEB, the veteran will be the swiss kapitalförvaltningsfirman the Lombard Odier Group. She now takes the family and moves to Geneva.

– To start a brand new career is what really got me to take this decision, ” she says.

On the question if she gets a higher salary on the Lombard Odier Group, she answers:

” I will work with completely other things so I can’t respond to it.

SEB chairman Marcus Wallenberg explained at today’s press conference that the board of directors received the news of the weekend and that they had an extraordinary meeting on Sunday to decide how to proceed.

According to Marcus Wallenberg, the bank has initiated a recruitment process to find a replacement for Annika Falkengren. He also announced that she will continue to work until a replacement has been appointed, or until 1 July later in the year.

He also announced that Annika Falkengren resigned at his own request.

– Therefore, there is no “golden handshake”, says Marcus Wallenberg.
