The us manufacturer of the medicinal product, Eli Lilly surprised with a stronger report than expected. The net profit was 771 million u.s. dollars, equivalent to sek 6.7 billion, compared with 478 million in the same period of the previous year. Turnover rose at the same time, by 7.2 percent to 5.76 billion u.s. dollars, thanks to the large demand for diabetesmedicinerna Trulicity, and Humalog.
Analysts had on average predicted a turnover at 5.55 billion u.s. dollars.
