Atlas Copco sells division Road Construction Equipment, vägbyuggnadsutrustning, to the French industrial and construction company, Fayat Group.

the Divestment will result in a loss of about 2 billion crowns, mainly related to the impairment of intangible assets. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
“the Reason for the decision to divest the operations is that the division lacks the economies of scale needed to be number one or number two in the segment,” writes the company.
In the Atlas Copco group’s report will be the divested business are reported as discontinued operations as from 2016.
