Tokyobörsens the Nikkei 225 index has fallen to its lowest level in over five weeks. The Nikkei fell 0.7 per cent in the morning trade then investors locked their profits in anticipation of Donald Trump svärs in as the president of the united states on Friday.
The broader Topix was down as much.
In Hong kong, it was a happier miner. Hang Seng rose 0.5 per cent.
Investors are now waiting anxiously for the british prime minister, Theresa Mays speech on Tuesday about the details surrounding the country’s exit from the EU.
