Theresa May crystal clear on the hard Brexit – Present

British prime minister Theresa May was clear when she yesterday made it clear that the Uk will leave the EU and the internal market. She can show the way for how other countries can leave the politically stifling union.

After the speech was Brexit-general Nigel Farage almost shocked by the government’s clear information. "I can hardly believe that the prime minister is now using the expressions and words that I have for years been mocked for using. Great progress." (link)

Even in the EU, were century well-received. Uk "demonstrates the realism," said Donald Tusk, the president of the European council (link). Germany welcomes the clarity in the Mays speech, reports the press (link).

the Prime minister said that british people are demanding that you immediately can set the rulers to accountability. The indirect decision-making in a supranational organisation such as the EU works bad in relationship to our history and our traditions, ” she said.

another crucial reason for the british to leave is that the EU has problems to handle the diversity which the union’s members means. "The union strives for uniformity, not diversity". (It bends towards uniformity, not flexibility.)

the Referendum was about to recreate our parliamentary democracy, national self-determination and become more global in our outlook and in attitude, ” said May.

Therefore advocating a complete withdrawal from the EU. Nor do other countries ‘ model of relationship to the EU, like Norway’s, will work because the Uk did not want to be bound by any EU law or liability.

Practical thinking itself May solve this by making all existing EU laws into british law. This means that all laws that apply on the day before the withdrawal also comes the day after the exit. Then parliament can gradually change in these laws. It becomes both transparent and democratic transition.

One reason for the complete separation is that the british people in the referendum demanded full control over how many people who come to the country from Europe. "And that is what we will see to it", said May.

Because the EU insists that the internal market is part of the four freedoms of goods, services, people and capital, makes clear the prime minister that the united kingdom does not claim to stay in the single market.

Instead, she wants to have a trade agreement with the EU. Here she mentions that the president-elect Donald Trump has said that the united states to discuss trade agreements with the united kingdom and that the country "will not stand last in the queue", as president Obama threatened before the referendum.

Theresa May, stressed the importance of free trade. It is not a zero sum game. Win-win trade. Therefore, she hopes to agree on a favourable free trade agreement between the united kingdom and the EUROPEAN union.

I think the speech was surprisingly straight and clear. The united kingdom makes no claim to influence the EU in the future, but want to for both parties ‘ sake, to agree about favorable trade relations. It was the trade that was grundskälet to a time forming the EU’s predecessor. The british say ‘ no ‘ to the political superstructure. It wants to maintain its independence.

We leave the EU, but not Europe, ” said May.

A paradox is that if the withdrawal goes smoothly, there will be a path to follow for others. Therefore, suspect the british that Brussels wants to screw around and make exit costly. I hope that the bureaucrats in Brussels do not prove to be so petty, but I would not be one bit surprised if it is just that.
