Stockholm. Redundancy allows 150 maintenance workers laid off from state-owned railway company Infranord engaged in maintenance work. The decision may trade union criticism in view of the problems that have been with the railroad.
– It rhymes terribly bad when it comes to the railway’s needs and it would now be snow so we do not have people. The Social Democrats promised in the election campaign that it would not make required return on Infranord and that maintenance would return to the state but it seems to have vanished now, says Jörgen Lundström, Chairman of Seko on Infranord to SVT.
The Minister Anna Johansson ( S) responds to criticism:
– We had put a budget proposal to the Riksdag but it was voted down.
