Probation will fly economically

The staff of Probation transport will continue to travel at the cheapest possible way, reports the Echo on Swedish Radio. The Director General Nils Oberg promise that the starting point should be that the agency must follow the travel rules applicable to the state in general.
The announcement comes after the radio show Caliber last fall reported on the transport service personnel, after completed expulsions, lived in luxury hotels and flew in business class.
In the future air travel in economy class unless it “is extremely strong reasons” for something else, according to Oberg. He estimates that 70 percent of all air travel can be managed through the economy and sees it as “a major step forward” in efforts to harmonize Probation rules with other parts of the state.
