Government CCTV sent maiden voyage when a high speed train left Lanzhou bound for Xinjiang’s capital Urumqi.
The line goes through many dramatic landscapes, and through the Great Wall of China. It 180 mil stretch will now get a halved travel time, which means for twelve hours.
The other lines which opened last Friday goes from Guangzhou, near Hong Kong in the south, and Guiyang and Nanning.
China’s high speed train network was started as late as 1999, but has quickly grown into the world’s longest. There has been a traveling evolution, such as knocking out many routes.
On the other hand, increases in air travel on longer routes. On Friday, the building of Beijing’s new airport, which will be completed in five years and compete for the title of biggest in the world.
