US stock exchanges rounded trading year on New Years Eve with a decline in light trading. Årsfacit was, however, a plus of 7.5 percent for the Dow Jones and 13.4 percent for the Nasdaq.
Oil continued its journey downwards and forwards Brent crude was trading at Wednesday 57:33 dollars per barrel. Årsfacit for Brent crude landed at minus 49 percent.
Both the Dow Jones industrial index and the Nasdaq composite index fell 0.9 percent.
On New Year’s day keeps the US stock exchanges closed.
