Danish bank customers may have less interest – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

– We must ask ourselves if we have not been in the position that we have to offer customers a negative deposit rate, says Niels Storm Stenbæk, chief economist at the bank branch organization Fiscal Council, to Berlingske.

Danish national bank, National Bank has multiple rates, but one of them is for some months -0.05 percent. This means that the bank deposit 1 million after one year only 999,500 crowns left.

While other countries’ central banks in the current extremely low interest rates in the Western world tried less interest. This applies, among others, Switzerland and Japan.
