STOCKHOLM () The ECB is independent in its decision, but "cheap money" should not diminish the enthusiasm of some countries to implement reforms.
It said the German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble in an interview with Bild-Zeitung on Saturday, according to Bloomberg News.
He said there is no alternative to structural reforms and that he and Chancellor Angela Merkel has intensive talks with ECB President Mario Draghi.
He also noted that the Governing Council member Jens Weidmann, who is skeptical of more QE, have strong arguments and Council ear, and there are trade-offs in the end.
