Strong year ended in red – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

The Stockholm Stock Exchange closed well below zero on Tuesday. The wide OMXS index fell by 0.8 percent to 473.9.

Telekom shares were weak, with Ericsson and TeliaSonera down 1.7 and 1.3 percent. Ericsson’s rival Nokia fell 2.4 percent, the most among the heavyweights on OMXS30 list.

Although several oil companies were among the losers, including Lundin Petroleum, which dropped 1.2 percent. EnQuest got to see the price fall by as much as 9.1 percent and Africa Oil was down 2.6 percent. They both oil shares have had a tough 2014, and both have lost a total of around 70 percent of the value.

AstraZeneca fell 1 percent. On an annual basis, the stock has still developed strongly, plus 45 percent, fueled by köpspekulationer.

Despite the bleak ending is publicly year 2014 developed positively for many who invest in shares. Both the Stockholm Stock Exchange and the leading European stock markets have risen, as well as the US stock exchanges.
