BBC: Apple violating work rules – Västerbotten Courier

The factories in China which manufactures computer giant Apple products in China persistently violate the company’s promises of improved working conditions. It claims the BBC, whose reporters take up employment in the company Pegatrons production of Apple’s phones, tablets and computers.

One of the reporters were forced to work 18 days in a row, while another had to work shifts of up to 16 hours .

In one of Apple’s subcontractor in Indonesia worked according to BBC One twelve year old child under dangerous conditions in an illegal tin mine on the island of Bangka.

“We are working with our suppliers to correct deficiencies and we make constant progress, but we know that our work is never finished, “said Apple in a statement.
