Goods sold for twelve cents on Amazon – Västerbotten Courier

Company fear bankruptcy after a software error led to the goods were sold for a fraction of its value in the e-commerce giant Amazon.

Under an hour Friday was sold hundreds of products for twelve cents apiece.

Many of the affected sellers, who used the pricing tool Repricer Express, expressing concern for the future unless the orders are canceled. Judith Blackford says to the British Sky News that she lost nearly 240 000.

– Someone must be held accountable for this. At this rate I will have gone bankrupt in late January, she said.

Brendan Doherty, director of Repricer Express, regret in a statement the incident and says that they are working to investigate what gone wrong. A spokesperson for Amazon says according to Sky News that the company is aware that incorrect prices listed on e-commerce site and that you managed to cancel most orders directly. The company is reviewing the “small number” which could be sent away and should contact the sellers.

Although the error caused the dealers lot of headaches, many buyers expressed joy over their finds. “I just purchased an incense holder, I did not even need” writes one person who took the opportunity to take advantage of the situation on Twitter.
