Sweden: 3009 more unemployed Week 49 – Employment Service

(SIX) The number of registered unemployed in Sweden rose by 3,009 people to 197,396 persons during week 49. In a comparison with corresponding week a year ago, the number of registered unemployed decreased by 13,880 people (-13,268 last week), as a update from the Employment Service. Job seekers in activity support programs amounted to 179,407 people, which was 749 fewer than a week earlier. Compared with A year ago, the number decreased by 12,566 persons (-14,371 last week). The number of people who found work during the week amounted to 11,674, compared with 8,032 during the week before. The number of people registered as jobseekers amounted to 10,441, compared with 7550 weeks before. 16,356 new vacancies were reported, compared with 16,266 the week before.
