The Danish furniture chain BoConcept, financial problems and will therefore put down the stores that are least profitable.
The company carries out a “large-scale reorganization” of the chain directed against the 35-50 shops that goes worst. BoConcept will seek new franchises that can drive the stores that have the greatest potential. The remaining stores, corresponding to 20-30 franchise and company stores, will close next year, the company said in an interim report.
The stores that closed down are mainly in Europe and the Americas. BoConcept has over 300 stores in over 50 different countries, including Sweden.
