Border controls
ID-checks of travellers from Denmark to Sweden on the Danish side and the law started to apply on 4 January 2016. The controls applies to at least to 4 november.
border control in Sweden was introduced 12 november 2015 and is available today at, among others, the Öresund bridge and in the ports of Trelleborg, Malmö and Helsingborg. The border control currently applies to the 11 november.
the Government will this week decide whether border controls should be extended, according to the task to the TT. However, it must be approved by the EUROPEAN commission.
Both the border and, later, the id checks, introduced as a result of the asylum and the flow of refugees to Sweden last year. The controls shall be regularly reviewed and the EUROPEAN commission informed.
