Chronicle: “the Time has come for Samsung to scrap Note 7″ – 99mac

With the recent cases of exploding Note 7 devices, it’s time for Samsung to completely dispose of the product. Otherwise, the name of the company that is blackened permanently.

During the past month, Samsung’s big flagship #Galaxy Note 7 has had a tough period. From initially been inundated with positive reviews has the tone against your phone has been firmly negative, then multi-Note 7-units have burned up and damaged both homes as cars. They have been banned on airlines, and even been at the centre of mockery in comedy, and video games.

All of this took place before the weekend, when we had recently written about a “corrected” Note 7-unit had burned up. During the weekend that passed was burned two additional phones, plus two other suspected cases. Several reports now that Samsung once again has stalled the production of the devices, and also ceased deliveries to operators and other retailers. It is an escalating problem, and considering the new cases of the burning of the phones it doesn’t seem like Samsung can easily fix the errors in the post.

But even if it is possible, Samsung doesn’t spend time and energy on this. They should simply scrap the Note 7 as the product and look towards the future.

I had planned to finish this chronicle with the thoughts of #Samsung should scrap the Note 7 because the product is liable to blacken the company’s name and future products more permanent. So far, the negative message focused on the Note 7, but continues Samsung to sell the phone to consumers, they run the risk that their name will be associated with unreliable products that put both lives and property at stake. I had meant to write that the reaction might soon become something like, “is that a Samsung, do you dare have it in your pocket?”.

But the reaction may have already occurred. In the comments to our news that more Note 7-devices has exploded, it states that a non-named airlines already have begun to ban the use and charging of Samsung phones, regardless of model. This mentality may not have to put themselves in the public consciousness quite yet, but Samsung doggedly to sell and patching Note 7-the family, the damage can be permanent.

There is a risk that this becomes synonymous with Samsung products if the company does not scraps, Note 7 promptly.

Samsung should not just do this to save the name of the company, they should also think on how to go for the upcoming flagship Galaxy S8. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S7 was very well received, hailed in the press and has made 2016 to a financially positive year for the Samsung, Note 7-problems. If Samsung scraps, Note 7, and takes the good features that the phone actually has to the Galaxy S8, they could have another best seller on time.

Note 7 has already blackened the upcoming. Consumers, and perhaps even the airlines, will be skeptical and cautious to the Galaxy S8. But if Samsung makes it only sensible and scraps the product now they can get away with the flagship sells worse initially, and then take off when it turns out that the problems with spontaneous combustion (hopefully) is history.
