Six-digit electric car sales in the US – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

According to industry news site Inside EVs sold 9535 rechargeable cars in the US in November. Thus, this year’s total sales ticked up to approximately 107,000 plug-in and electric cars. It is the first time any country in the world, reports the six-figure sale of what in Sweden is called super clean cars.

For China’s annual sales according to Inside EVs only reached about half, barely 50,000 electric cars so far in 2014. However, it is very worn in the industry, and individual months, China is the world’s largest electric car market, for example, in September, nearly 12,000 vehicles sold compared to US 10 538th

In the US, the most popular models Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and Tesla S. Volvo arouses interest right now with the plug-in version of the XC90 at the Los Angeles motor show, a model early next year can break into the music charts.

In China it is in the West unknown models that sell best. At the top is the pure electric car Kandi EV, a mini model used in car pools. Runner-up is plug-car BYD Qin.

As a percentage of total vehicle market electric cars are still a small niche in the large countries. From this perspective leads instead Norway, where at least every ten new cars are electric.
