– The law of the country in which you live will govern, says lawyer Fredric Renström to the newspaper.
The law, which comes into force in August may also create problems for many older Swedes living part year abroad and the other in Sweden. What is deemed to be domiciled in such cases is not entirely clear.
– There will be a terrible arguing about where the deceased had their habitual residence, said Renstrom.
For those who want to stick with Swedish law, it is possible to do it by making a will.
