Sweden: 1564 fewer unemployed Week 4 – Employment Service

(SIX) The number of registered unemployed in Sweden decreased by 1.564 persons to 209,286 persons during week 4. In comparison with the corresponding week a year ago, the number of unemployed decreased by 15,722 persons (-16,340 last week), according to an update from Employment Service. Job seekers in activity support programs amounted to 181,125 people, which was 465 more than a week earlier. Compared with A year ago, the number decreased by 8,042 people (-8323 last week). The number of people who found work during the week amounted to 9562, compared with 11,654 the week before. The number of people registered as jobseekers amounted to 9121, compared with 10,154 weeks before. 28,192 new vacancies were reported, compared with 24,986 the week before.
