On Sunday, it was a skier in an avalanche in Kittelfjäll and Hållfjället in Åre triggered five avalanches of skiers. And now expected to more snow.

It comes in a snow field during Sunday night and then it will more on Wednesday, says Elisabeth Saarnak, meteorologist at SMHI.

The avalanche danger in Åre is classed as a three, considerable avalanche danger, and according avalanche expert Stefan Mårtensson live off-piste skiers dangerous on the mountain.

One should be careful, especially as it now seems to be two major fronts with rainfall says he said.

According to him, occurs most avalanche accidents at grade two or three because many do not take the danger seriously. Moreover, he believes that Swedes generally do not know how to reduce the risks of skiing off-piste. Much depends on that in Sweden there is no public avalanche information.

We are the only country that does not have an avalanche forecast with advice and tips which makes getting knows how to act, says Stefan Mårtensson.

And the inability seems to continue even when the Swedish skier travels abroad – where the information is located.

Sweden exports avalanche victims and about three Swedes die abroad every year. In Sweden, one person dies every two years.
