Hållfjället in Åre triggered avalanches five on Sunday. All were caused by skiers.
Police writes on his website that according to the company Skistars staff in Åre, there have been triggered five avalanches on Hållfjället in Åre between 11 and 13 on Sunday.
All are skidåkarutlösta and in the order of about 150 m long and 50 m wide and with a fracture edge between 10 and 40 cm.
Trails are in and out of any of avalanches but no man is reported to be damaged or lost during the race.
Skistar writes on its website that the avalanche danger is significant and is located on level three on a scale from 1-5. This means that human triggered avalanches are probable and natural avalanches are possible. The company encourages skiers to be very careful in avalanche terrain.
