Rising prices for forest – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

LRF consultant predicts that prices will continue to rise slightly, driven mainly by the low interest rate.

In 2014, the price very different in different parts of the country. The biggest price increase in northern Norrland’s coastal areas, plus 6 percent. Meanwhile, prices fell 6 percent in the interior.

In a longer perspective, the prices of woodland developed positively. On average across the country, prices have increased by 54 percent over the last ten years. A so-called cubic meters costing an average of 372 crowns last year.
