In the wake of the financial crisis, more and more stuck in debt trap for a long time. Now the government investigate an EU proposal for a decision on debt restructuring of a Member State shall be valid throughout the Union.
The Member States have agreed on new rules for example, bankruptcy and corporate restructuring – with the goal of creating more of a ” second chance-culture “for indebted individuals and businesses, writes the Justice Department said in a statement.
The investigator Jonas Bäckstrand, deputy director general of the Swedish Accident Investigation Board, shall also examine possible joint Nordic rules for debt settlement.
Bäckstrand should report the investigation by March 1 next year.
