The stock markets in the United States began the trading week up. The US central bank chief Jane Yellen gave a speech a bright picture of the US economy. While she avoided to be more specific regarding the timing of an upcoming rate hike.
At the end of last month, Yellen said that a hike may “come in the coming months.” Fed chief pointed to the dismal jobs numbers last Friday “was disappointing,” but that one should not attach too much importance to a single report.
The Dow Jones industrial index rose 0.6 percent, while the Nasdaq composite index lifted 0 , 5 percent. S & amp; P 500 rose 0.5 percent.
