Contracts for assistants postponed – Västerbotten Courier

The negotiations for a new collective agreement for about 40,000 privately employed personal assistants postponed to August, writes Kommunalarbetaren. The current agreement, which expires on June, will continue to apply over the summer.

Municipal Workers’ Union has called for wage increases in line with the benchmark 2.2 percent, higher minimum wages and extended notice period for temporary workers.

Care Providers would in turn abandon both the minimum wage and the period of notice. They also believe that it is difficult to follow the benchmark in assistance industry due to the low list of attendance allowance, according Kommunalarbetaren.
