Economy. A speech by US Governor Janet Yellen on Monday has accelerated the stock markets around the world. Stockholm Stock Exchange is no exception. OMXS index raises by 1.2 percent to 486.5.
The increase is widespread, with 29 of 30 shares in OMXS30 index of plus.
The development is in line with leading Europe’s stock exchanges.
the atmosphere is characterized by Yellens speech, in which she drew a rosy picture of the US economy. However, she was disappointed by the latest labor market statistics and gave little guidance about when the next rate hike will come.
The market expectations for the number is that there will be a rise in US interest rates in September.
the dollar has lifted by over 20 cents against the crown after century.
Most up on the Stockholm stock Exchange, by virtue of its index weight pulls automation group ABB’s share with a price boost of 2.4 percent.
Other heavyweights that goes well, H & amp; M’s share, up by 1.4 percent and engineering group Atlas Copco, whose share will rise by 2.7 percent.
Truck manufacturer Volvo is also good with a lift at 2.2 percent.
the primary sector follow-up, with help from rising commodity prices. Crude Oil rises to near $ 51 a barrel, the highest level since October last year.
The oil and gas company Lundin Petroleum’s share raises of 3.6 percent.
