Ola Rollen sell shares to 300 million – start company – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

Ola Rollen will use the money – a little less than 300 million – to finance investeringari through their own start up holding companies.

He tells SvD Näringslivs that the company already is in final negotiations on some purchases. What he does not want to reveal. The holding company will be investing in new technology.

– Partly it’s that growth is best in new technology. But I’ve also run into a lot of fun ideas and met many good contractors over the years at the Hexagon. The ideas have been good, but not suited for Hexagon need to focus on their core business and mission, says the role.

Is there a long term goal to completely saddle on the venture capitalist?

– You only have one life. I turn 50 this year and it’s clear that I can not be the CEO of a listed company in all eternity. This is something I’ve dreamed of doing and moreover can go on as long as you want if you own the company. Is the other hand, an official you will sooner or later too old. It’s that simple.

Rollen states that he will be the main owner of the holding company but will not have any operational role. The role as President and CEO of Hexagon should not be affected, according to him. An external management team will be recruited to manage the business.

Ola Rollen concerns continue to be the CEO of Hexagon many more years to come and that he has agreed to subscribe for up to 2,000,000 warrants in the new program.

Hexagon’s largest shareholders , Melker Schörling AB, is on the notes and will also invest in Ola role’s new company.
