Swedbank threatens sue customers – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

– This is pure mafia methods. One of Sweden’s largest banks are prepared to sue individual customers, says Shareholders’ Association president Carl Rosen said.

It would then be the first case of its kind. And the customers risk significant costs.

Facts is that the Association considers that two of the bank’s funds, which Swedbank claim is actively managed, serves as automatically managed index funds. The association requires the bank to seven billion in compensation to customers.

Swedish radio news’ve talked to Swedbank’s Chairman Anders Sundstrom:

– Should we not follow ARN we have to go to court, he says.
