SAS cancels flights – Hufvudstadsbladet

The airlines SAS and Norwegian Air have problems with their flights today due to strikes. The risk is that the problems are growing on Wednesday.

SAS states for FNB that approximately 20 flights must be set today to cabin crew strike. On the Norwegian taken 70 pilots on strike, but the conflict could escalate on Wednesday when additional pilots, a total of 650, may be affected.

The strike comes the Scandinavian subsidiary Norwegian Air Norway. Distances between Scandinavia and the UK, the US and Asia are not affected. The airline stated that the strike is not expected to cause any significant problems for flights from Finland during the weekend.

Information on each flight is on Norwegian and SAS Web pages. SAS canceled a flight from Helsinki to Copenhagen this morning. Both airlines also contact their passengers by SMS. SAS cabin crew strike to the company plans to transfer 150 employees to a subsidiary.
