In 2014, estimated the regulated Swedish gaming market have had a gross revenue (before winnings) 44.9 billion. There is a decrease of approximately two billion (-4%) in current prices compared to 2013. Following winnings sales were SEK 16.5 billion, which is a decrease of approximately SEK 780 million (-5%) compared with 2013.
In addition to the regulated market exists an extensive games on the internet via the actors do not have permits in Sweden. These players are estimated to have been worth more than 4.4 billion after wins paid in 2014 and thus increased its sales by nearly 1.3 billion (+ 40%) compared with the year before.
About the compilation
The compilation is partly preliminary. The result for the Swedish game, ATG and the largest national lotteries are based on quarterly reports from 2014. Sales for the other players have been calculated by studying trends with historical data. Statistics for players without a permit in Sweden based on data from H2 Gambling Capital and our own intelligence. Because of the differences in variables such as reimbursement percentage and games frequency variation between forms of gambling bigger in the study of the gross turnover than of net sales. Net revenue is therefore a more product-neutral measure of the extent of gambling.
Earnings, net
Swedish Game , the largest player in the Swedish market, had sales of approximately SEK 7.8 billion, excluding Casino Cosmopol in 2014. This is a decrease by 780 million
(-9%) Compared to 2013. Sales of all Swedish Spel forms decreased during the last year. Decreased most games on the value slot game Vegas, whose turnover decreased by SEK 490 million (-27%). Casino Cosmopol sales totaled 1 159 million in 2014 which is a decrease of 8 million.
ATG increased its turnover compared with 2013, making the company’s negative trend in recent years has slowed. The turnover was approximately SEK 3.7 billion in 2014, an increase of about 1 percent. Internet Game increased by 97 million (+ 6%). Track and representatives game, however, decreased in 2014, banspelet by 48 million (-29%) and representatives game with 14 million (-1%).

How much do we spend on games
On average, they spend Swedish households 2.43 per cent of their disposable income on gambling, which is equivalent to 5783 per person over 18 years.
