H & M: “We do not stand behind debate article” – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

Her & amp; Mauritz Chairman Stefan Persson has written during Friday’s debate article urging the government not to break the contract with Saudi Arabia. But H & amp; M is now receiving its chairman and say they do not stand behind what is in debate article.

– H & amp; M has not signed the debate the article, we do not stand behind it, says Camilla Emilsson Falk, Press Manager at H & amp; M.

But Stefan Persson writes over as Chairman of the H & amp; M?

– It is not the H & amp; M who has written during debate article, I think there are Stefan Persson as a private individual.

Did you like this?

– No, we did not know about it.

The military contract with Saudi Arabia shares not only the directors at H & amp; M but also causing divisions within the Swedish government parties. Termination without renegotiation – the requirement under the MP-politician Carl Schylter front of the Green Party parliamentary group last week.

Meanwhile, the Party mouthpiece kept a lower profile.

– It is all about finding a government position that serves as a comprehensive policy on the government’s foreign policy and its credibility in international fora, said Åsa Romson to TT on Friday.

– It requires additional time, also in discussions with the Green Party.

The S has a number gambit made against the agreement – including from members of parliament, Youth SSU and Faith and solidarity.

But Prime Minister Stefan Löfven has so far only said that the government wants to negotiate Agreement and that the issue prepared by the Cabinet Office.

The military contract where Sweden is building a weapons factory ate and Saudi Arabia was first revealed by echo. The Directors writes on Friday on DN debate that Sweden’s reputation as a trading partner is at stake.

“We therefore expect that the government handles the issue of Sweden’s continued cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia in terms of Sweden and Swedish industry’s long-term international credibility,” writes Stefan Persson and 30 other Swedish top directors.

Camilla Emilsson Falk H & amp; M would not comment on what the company thinks about the Swedish military agreement with Saudi Arabia.

– This is always when policy issues, we speak not about that. We are politically and religiously independent, she says.
