Anders Nyrén sawed for the “sick compensation system” – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

Carl Rosen, CEO of the Shareholders’ Association, was several times up in the pulpit at the Winter Garden at Grand Hôtel in Stockholm where the Bank held its meeting. He was tough in his analysis of how the Bank’s main shareholder acted in the SCA skein. Above all, the criticism directed against Anders Nyrén.

“Do not make it further for the world’s best bank,” said Carl Rosen from the pulpit and aimed to harness forced popular Pär Boman to get off his job as President and step up as the new chairman of the bank. Shareholders Association also protested against that Anders Nyren may remain in the Handelsbanken board. They demanded to the record that the association was against the board election.

Criticism Anders Nyren also dealt with the acclaimed million compensation to Pär Boman, who was stopped by Boman himself a week ago .

Strong, thought Aktiespararnas CEO:

“Pär Boman has thankfully declined the sick remuneration system that he had been offered by Anders Nyren. For it is he worth an applause, “said Carl Rosen and quickly gained sympathy from the audience.

Pär Boman clearance in the wage issue – he then turns down an annual salary of 11 million dollars to instead receive a total fee of around 6 million – came as a shock to Anders Nyrén.

Trust gap between Boman and Nyren is a fact, believe well-informed sources. But at yesterday’s general meeting seemed the frosty atmosphere temporarily buried. Both gave good face. The smiles sat where they were going and Pär Boman even said that he has confidence Anders Nyrén as the next chairman of Industrivärden. However, with one addition:

“I will study carefully the results of the two audits in progress of SCA Hank.”

“They are definitely important. Shareholders and the public have set legitimate questions about what happened. I think those who have asked the questions also entitled to a thoughtful response. We at Handelsbanken has become the major shareholder in SCA course every reason to get involved in the case. Then we’ll see which actions and activities we think are necessary to implement after the investigations have presented their results, “said Pär Boman to SvD Business after the meeting.

He told also that the decision to abstain million compensation was an easy decision here he finally got to think through the question.

Fredrik Lundberg also endorsed Anders Nyrén as next chairman of Industrivärden. It raises some surprise. Many shareholders did a contrary interpretation by Fredrik Lundberg’s attitude after an interview with SvD Business on Friday last week.

He was very vague and fit stubborn when asked if he had confidence Anders Nyrén as the next chairman of the investment company. Now it sounds different.

“I support the committee’s proposal to appoint Anders Nyren new chairman. I think it will be a good choice, “says Fredrik Lundberg.

There were other signals from your site a week ago?

” Well, all may interpret it as you wish. What I said then was that I have confidence in Anders Nyrén as CEO of Industrivärden. Since I do not think that I will express my opinion on the nomination committee work before it’s finished. Now I’m ready and I think they’ve done a good job. “

Anders Nyren held low profile during the meeting and did not comment in a word SCA skein. But until the very end, he defended it so much criticized, Sverker Martin-Löf.

“I am sorry that you do not stand for re-election,” said Anders Nyren to a grim Sverker Martin-Löf when it was time for uncapping and flower broom to members who leave Handelsbanken’s board.

Sverker Martin-Löf, outgoing President of SCA and Industrivärden, and SCA’s kicked CEO Jan Johansson were the two members who left Handelsbanken’s board.
