Handelsbanken should keep an eye on SCA – Expressen

Handelsbanken has the eyes of the storming SCA.

This was announced by newly appointed chairman Pär Boman under the Bank’s General Meeting – as the major shareholder, reports the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.

– The shareholders and the public have asked legitimate questions about what happened. I think those who have asked the questions also entitled to a thoughtful response, he told the newspaper.

Handelsbanken, which stands as a major shareholder in the storming SCA, paraded during Wednesday’s general meeting around the newly elected President Pär Boman before the audience at the Winter Garden – Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. Boman, who left his place as CEO to step up as chairman of the bank – with SCA Hank – promised to follow closely the two ongoing investigations regarding the company, Svenska Dagbladet reports.

– They are definitely important . Shareholders and the public have set legitimate questions about what happened. I think those who have asked the questions also entitled to a thoughtful answer, he told Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet after the meeting.

He added that Handelsbanken had every reason to engage in matter as the major shareholder of SCA

– Then we’ll see which actions and activities we think are necessary to implement after the investigations have presented their results.

Meanwhile, the newspaper reported, received the outgoing President Anders Nyren run the gauntlet when he again criticized by Shareholders Association.
