Sweden’s former Prime Minister Göran Persson is due for a directorship in the Bank of Åland.

According to the newspaper Nya Åland Persson has extensive experience in both the finance and policy. It is the Bank nomineringskommittee launching Persson.

He says Persson told Nyan he turns down most of the missions of this type but now he says yes – mainly because he likes the Åland Islands.

According to Persson is the Bank of Åland an exciting combination between the savings bank and commercial bank that is firmly grounded in Åland and has managed to establish itself in both Sweden and Finland.

The General Meeting convened on 16 April.
