Both the District Court and Court of Appeal acquitted. Today, the judgment of the Supreme Court (HD) against three journalists indicted on suspicion of breach of confidentiality by a publication in Göteborgs-Posten.
It is the Attorney General who pushed the case against the three journalists. They are accused of having cleared a raped woman’s identity in an article in the newspaper. The Court of Appeal noted in his acquittal to the woman’s identity to some extent been cleared, but the prosecutor failed to prove that the woman did not approve publication.
HD is now considered whether the woman is entitled to damages.
