Over the next two years would Pär Boman have been allowed to retain his CEO salary of 11.2 million a year when he becomes the new Chairman of Handelsbanken. The deal has attracted fierce criticism, including from Aktiespararnas CEO Carl Rosen, who called the action for “almost worse than greed.”
The press release will Pär Boman on their own informed the Board Chairman Anders Nyren him in connection with the bank AGM wish to terminate their employment. Boman justifies this by saying that he would “ensure a high degree of autonomy” in the role of Chairman.
Pär Boman steps up as the new chairman of the bank after SvD Enterprise’s review of SCA, which among other things resulted in the Chairman Sverker Martin-Löf left their directorships and SCA’s CEO Jan Johansson poked.
