H & M’s new online venture – Dagens Industri

As e-commerce matures believe more and more that it is not enough to “just” be able to shop online. For the major clothing chains, it becomes increasingly important to integrate its store network in the total customer offering. For example, the Zara customers who shop online choose to collect their goods in a physical store.

In Tuesday’s interim report Point H & amp; M, including the importance of “constantly meet customer needs and shopping patterns.”

When will your customers be able to retrieve an item in the store ordered online?
“It is something that we are evaluating. There are many different parts of this. You should be able to scan the product in the store and get it sent to you, it’s something we rolled out and tested a little spruce. Same thing with being able to return the goods in the store. Being able to order online and pick up in store, where we have tests underway to evaluate what may be the effect. We will do it, we just want to evaluate exactly how to do it, “says Karl-Johan Persson.

H & amp; M’s online offering is today in 13 markets and plans for 2015 is to add a further nine countries.

Can it be appropriate to launch online in a country where you do not have any physical stores?
“There is nothing that is in the cards now. But if we get to the position where we are looking at a very small country, where there is no profitability for having a great device with physical stores, then it is possible that it will be so in the future, “says Karl-Johan Persson .
