Youth associations fighting for the plate – Swedish Dagbladet

Youth associations fighting for the plate – Swedish Dagbladet

– Whoever wins the “plate” wins the election, says Hanna Jokio, chairman of the Social Democratic Youth League (SSU) in Stockholm.

The parties’ campaign materials is finished, and will be set up in the country and kingdom. In Stockholm takes the official start of all election posters at midnight, and now is the youth poised to help their party. Being the first to arrive at the Sergel Square is especially important, says the Moderate Youth League (MUF) in Stockholm.

– It’s a tradition to compete for the square. The last few times we have won both the square and the elections, says Jessica Rosencrantz, MUF’s district.

The contest mobilizes many, but both MUF and SSU are secretive about the methods that will be relevant in the night’s fight.

– In recent years, we surrounded the whole “plate” and created a human wall between 50 to 100 people, says Rosencrantz.

Preparations for the twelve team is in full swing – again both right and left.

– It is clear that no one will show up on the first at 00.00, but we are prepared in the SSU, saying Jokio.
