But, for safety reasons – and to hold the Sweden Democrats rod – collaborated rivals in the SSU and MUF.
– The time is twelve – run! cried Delmon Haffo from the Moderate Youth ban (MUF) in Stockholm when the starting gun went for this year’s election posters at Sergel Square.
With cable ties plastic lashed the posters fixed along the railing around the plate. But the expected battle between the factions failed to materialize – the Social Democratic Youth League (SSU) and MUF was helped even to get fixed the posters, according to an agreement between them earlier in the day.
– It feels great that we have succeeded keep the agreement, says Alva Dahn from SSU’s district board.
But, before unions were agreed was a totally different atmosphere.
– It was pretty dramatic for a while. We charge had to go in and mediate, says Dahn.
A section of the railing had been seized by the Sweden Democrats’ youth organization, whose presence contributed to the settlement.
– Sometimes you have bigger enemies, says MUF ‘s Stockholm Chair Jessica Rosencrantz.
A short distance away, on the other side of the roundabout, put the young Christian Democrats and Liberals up their parties posters on poles and rails.
– There are from time immemorial a fight between MUF and SSU on Sergel Square. But instead of giving us into the brawl, we think it is better to take the other places around it, says Linda Nordlund, President of Liberal Youth.
But, although the fierce competition came at the plate remains the hope that during the night to rush elsewhere.
– There are many other great places. So this continues, saying Delmon Haffo.
