Affärsliv24. Now it is clear. The US electric car maker Tesla takes over solar panel manufacturer Solar City in exchange for Tesla shares worth $ 2.6 billion, equivalent to more than 22 billion.
Tesla CEO and cofounder Elon Musk has said that the deal will make Tesla the world’s only company that offers clean energy from beginning to end, from solar panels and batteries for home electric vehicles.
Musk is also chairman and principal owner of Solar City is America’s largest manufacturer of solar panels for home use.
