Disappeared business leaders found dead – Sveriges Radio

There were individuals who yesterday sounded the alarm about a body in the water in Marstrand. Police suspect no crime.

Christer Ericsson made his name as an entrepreneur, industrialist and master mariner. He was 74.

Started as master

Christer Ericsson was captain for Stena Line when he invented a model for the loading of containers, he had no sympathy for his invention and started his own company Consafe 70s. In the beginning, it was about maritime transport, but in the late 70s began Consafe manufacture residential and service platforms for offshore operations.

The operation was successful, but after a decline in the industry went Consafe bankrupt, 1985.

Comeback in the forest industry

in the 2000s, Christer Ericsson made a comeback with the family business group JCE Group with thousands of employees in areas such as offshore and forest industry in several countries, including South America.

Christer Ericsson also had major interests in Sjuhärad in the form of extensive forest holdings in Borås, Mark, Svenljunga and Tranemo and down the Halland border.

He also owned one of West Sweden’s largest wildlife reserves in the forests on the border of the municipality of Mark and Svenljunga.

2006 Summer talked Christer Ericsson here in Sveriges Radio, among other things, that their years at sea.
