New Scania truck will save fuel – Sveriges Radio

There’s a new cab, new front end of the chassis, updated engines, transmissions and powertrains.

– We have not done anyone this kind of major change in 21 years, says Henrik Henriksson, CEO of Scania.

Before the launch took place a sustainability seminar, including former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and Infrastructure Minister Anna Johansson. It was led by professor of environmental science Johan Rock Power.

– The efficiency of five percent may sound a bit, but it’s a significant step. And Scania’s CEO Henrik Henriksson agree, five percent is not enough.
