German exports to Iran, mainly machinery and equipment, rushed up in the first half. Suspension of sanctions is behind the lift.
On an annual basis, exports from Germany to Iran by 15 percent to 1.13 billion euros (about 11 billion). The growth rate compares with a rise of Germany’s total exports by 1.4 percent during the same period.
In addition to machinery and equipment exports to Iran consisted primarily of chemicals and electronics.
