US stock markets ended the week up slightly. Jobs figures that were significantly better than expected arrived on Friday.
The number of employed outside the agricultural sector in the US increased by 242 000 people in February compared with January. Economists had on average expected an increase of 190 000 people.
But the jobs report also contained news of negative wage growth and declining number of hours worked.
The Dow Jones industrial index rose 0.4 percent, the Nasdaq composite index rose 0.2 percent. S & amp; P 500 rose 0.3 percent.
