The government proposes to societies and associations of very small, less than 30 000 per year, will not have to pay, withdraw, or account for VAT. EU allows tax relief up to a limit of three times as high as the government suggests.

– This is the first time we have a VAT threshold in Sweden. For us to be able to see the effects of it and be able to evaluate, we do not set the threshold too high, says Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson (S) said.

She also says that you have to be careful with money when government finances are strained.

Her MP colleague in Government, finance Minister Per Bolund (MP), said that the tax relieves for example, homeowners who put up solar panels on they sell the excess electricity on.

– it is easier for people who want to do good and contribute to a sustainable society, says Bolund.

According to the government is the 280 000 associations and companies affected by the limit for VAT registration as the government suggests.

TT: is there any job impact of the proposals?

– it can get a job effects but it is not that the main aim, says Magdalena Andersson.

– it should stimulate re-using and laws, rather than to throw away. One should be careful with natural resources, she said.

Moderates economic-political spokesperson ULF KRISTERSSON says it is hard to be opposed to the proposals now presented, taxes are lowered after all.

– But sewing a quilt which generally increase taxes and find small individual units and says right here we lower because it’s our favorite areas.
