We deceived ourselves about the Swedish debate climate – Expressen

Many of those who supported me and my wife during the week do not dare to come forward to the risk of reprisals.

Such is the debate in our country. So it is with freedom of expression, writes Ulf Adelsohn.

And I thought that the climate debate had become little more tolerant, but we deceived ourselves. We were interviewed by Björn af Kleen in the Daily News in an article that was intended to show that the Sweden Democrats made major inroads in central Stockholm, even though they where almost the least in the country.

Lena said she sometimes went into the site Avpixlat to see how they treated the news. She mentioned that if the violent crime committed by someone with Swedish names they wrote nothing, but they are always published the names it was “foreign”. It was mainly her intention to illustrate just that. But she has also stressed the importance of reading what the opponents think. Lena was in addition, as Minister of Culture, alone in not wanting to give press support to racist publications, also has shown that virtually all newspapers often go to the same site. Yet she has become hudflängd in various media.

Self I said that the media deliberately concealed some facts about immigration, for fear that they would be interpreted negatively by the readers. We were asked ‘to take evidence’ and mentioned a number of journalists who have themselves admitted that this is the case. I also referred to SVT’s news Sunday that 69 percent support the new more restrictive refugee policies, truly a revolutionary information, and that I “look in vain for comments or even mention in today’s (read Monday’s) newspaper.” It turned out then that DN had a notice in the online edition the day before, which had Dagens Media publishing an article entitled “Adelsohn lied.” I have to admit that I belong to a generation here at home just reading paper magazines and there was nothing.

We were invited to a discussion in Studio 1 of the Swedish Radio there also invited a visiting professor at JMK (journalist training), tellingly founder and leader of the Maoist Norwegian Arbeidernas Communist Party, which is not mentioned . Such sources need not be questioned in our country.

Lena has been chairman in the cold for ten years, I ran the integration hard as governor. But none of us turn a blind eye to the large migration can also lead to problems. But that should not be said.

Well, we have received many hundreds of sympathy, not least from the Conservatives (with two exceptions). Many people have given examples of news which extradited the things that could be construed as anti-immigrant. But, and this is the most important thing.

Many of those who supported us dare not come forward to the risk of reprisals. And it is quite obvious that such people are subject to. Such is the debate in our country. So it is with freedom of speech. And those ryar maximum of undemocratic forces, they themselves are the foremost want to silence and censor. Quo vadis Sweden?
