Plenty of snow in the easter slopes – Swedish Dagbladet

Easter means a high season peak for the country’s ski resorts. Up to 200,000 visitors are expected daily, according to the Swedish skidanläggningars organization (SLAO) which expects 1.5 million skidåkardagar during the Easter period, which represents 20 percent of the season’s skidåkardagar.

The plant Vallåsen on Hallandsåsen have Easter openly for the first time . Snow conditions are so good that all nine slopes are ride-on.

In the metropolitan area is at least five facilities in time. There is snow on the ground around the Flottsbro Hill in Huddinge, but slopes boasts 70 centimeters of snow.

Riksgränsen, Sweden’s northernmost ski resort, is aiming to be open to at least May 22 – and then waits course the traditional midsummer skiing.

– We always open again over the midsummer weekend and it will be this year too, says Elin Jönsson, ski area manager in Riksgränsen, said.
