Businesses around the world are planning to spend more on Internet advertising than on television advertising for the first time in 2017, according to forecaster ZenithOptimedia.

Internet advertising is expected to grow three times as fast as the rest of the industry in 2016, and driven by the demand of ads on social media, video sites and paid search services.

the announcement can get a boost in 2016 with events like the Olympic Games in Rio, Football Championship and the US presidential election.
